All Approved Cockapoo Breeders listed on this page have been CCGB Inspected, adhere to the minimum Health Testing requirements and have signed up to abide by the CCGB Code of Ethics.
No member may breed 3 litters or more a year unless they have a current Council Breeding License permitting them to do so. However even if a single litter has all of its puppies advertised and sold then the breeder is deemed to be in the ‘business of breeding’ and should legally obtain a license from their local council. The Star ratings are issued by each individual Council and not by us. Each Council has different criteria when awarding the ratings.
When searching for a Cockapoo puppy we strongly recommend that you personally visit a selection of breeders over time and choose the one that you feel instinctively most comfortable with. We would like to advise you that ONLY litters from parents with fully accounted pedigrees and health testing will be eligible for CCGB Lineage Registration Papers an example of which can he seen click here. Please make sure that you check the ancestry (pedigree) paperwork for each parent and the documentation proving that at least one parent is DNA clear for the relevant conditions depending on the particular cross you are looking at. What does it mean to have been Inspected?
The CCGB has a dedicated team of individuals nationwide and each of the Inspectors have undertaken further in-house training seminars on such subjects as verifying the Health Test paperwork/Pedigrees, lone visit personal safety, animal welfare, breeder networking, CCGB support, breeder mentoring and Code of Ethics.
We have worked together to produce a CCGB Inspection Manual and a very comprehensive 17 page checklist to use in the field and then as a formal report to pass back to the committee for discussion and evaluation. For those breeder applicants that fall short of the minimum requirements the CCGB will offer them support and a plan of action to assist them to improve their practices. Inspections can be ongoing and are at the discretion of the Inspector covering that geographical area.

The detailed Manual and checklist have been created by the current founder members team and committee, to establish a quantifiable Inspection Standard.
In addition the CCGB are offering Breeder Networking and support to assist Breeder Members not only to raise their puppies in the best way but also to be able to support their customers, the new forever owners to be able to give the pups the best care, nutrition and training in the formative first months of their life.
